GOING GREEN
In the future, students need to bring a Thumb Drive of 64G or larger to class to download the class information. Instead of wasting money/time and resources on DVD’s and cases, I will have a multi-port USB attached to the classroom or shop computer that allows students to do a quick transfer to their USB.
THE CSAT WAY ON FACEBOOK AND PATREON
We continue to work on new video content for both the Patreon Operator and Patreon Instructor. As of 1 Jan 2022, we had 170 videos on the site.
I want to add more instructor content and that will require extra live bodies to work with in shooting those videos. I look forward to the challenges.

LE CORNER
I used to think that 20% carried the 80%. I now think it is 10% or less that carries the load in a department and to an extent, America. Generally, 90% in a profession are there for a paycheck. As for Law Enforcement, we have lost a generation of LEO’s who have early retired and voted with their feet.
When I get a training request and the person tells me he is an ALERRT instructor I put it in the same category as someone who tells me they have an NRA Instructor Certificate and they want to professionally teach firearms. In regards ALERRT, I quietly think they are a professional "Paint Baller" and one of the 90% who look for a paycheck. This is not to bash ALERRT, but to help fix them as they tend to drink their own Kool-Aid.
ALERRT was started in 2002 in San Marcos, Texas. They boast of having been awarded 72 plus million in grants/funding. They also list all the law enforcement and civilians they have trained.
As a taxpayer, I like to see what I am getting for my tax dollars. As a Professional Trainer who has been working in the field longer than ALERRT, I know when I am not getting my monies worth. Further, when they got in bed with the Feds for funding and are now backstopped by the FBI, this makes me even more suspect as to the quality of their training. By this alignment, I know their training was watered down even more. Any regional or local officers know about the Feds and we have seen their strategic moves in the political arena and their tactical ability in the field.
I have Instructors who teach for me from other states and relay the problem is the same in their areas. Continuity is lacking in performance and instructor certification. Many LEO’s want to teach, but few want to put the effort in to redefining, reshaping and upgrading their own personal proficiency. Rather, they look for an outside validation to soothe their lack of confidence and minimal performance. They want to wear a polo shirt and lecture without upping their personal performance
I put an ALERRT Instructor up there with an NRA Instructor. It is an academic accreditation with the issuance of kakis pants, polo shirt and the ability to regurgitate organizational information with little or no physical, mental, tactical or technical standards to back it up. Further, they can rarely answer the why behind a tactic or technique which only breeds a lack of confidence in the students they are attempting to teach.
I have heard more than once from guys in the field that the guy who is an ALERRT Instructor for their agency cannot shoot. I would venture to say, if their organization had standards, they would lose 75% of their instructors who are wannabes who let their alligator ego's overload their hummingbird asses. If you are good one in ALERRT, kick the organizations butt to improve and raise their instructor standards. Otherwise, you get painted with the same brush and are simply there for a paycheck.
ALERRT is an “Instructor Factory,” where their admin wears political knee pads to solicit government funds and then promote training that does not build technical skills or enhance tactical performance. I believe the Uvalde ISD Chief was ALERRT Trained. How many officers on the ground were ALERRT trained that failed to push and save kid’s lives?
I think Uvalde was a testament to watered down ticket punch training and tactical training peacocks in Law Enforcement. I think ALERRT is a good concept. They need to push for higher standards in-house first and then Texas standards as well.
If we don’t fix it, what is the worse thing that could happen? Another Uvalde???
THE DECLINE OF MANLINESS AND MANHOOD
The debacle in Uvalde, Texas inspired me to write this. Watching grown men, supposedly sworn to protect and serve, standing idle while children are being killed, while they had all the tools in their hands to stop it.
How did we sink to this level of inaction and uselessness of the male gender?
It has started decades ago by with the socialism and feminism push. Masculinity is toxic. Everyone is equal. There is no incentive to get or be better. Women are Men, Men are Woman and other such nonsense.
I like to believe in Manhood, where the value and respect of human life is taught and especially in regards the safety of women and children.
My friend and I (Kit), discussed this as we both had the opportunity to train former Communist security personnel when the wall fell. Many of the older generation were solid in their beliefs of inaction or do the minimums as the pay and reward would be the same. They are the types that would take no action in Uvalde.
The younger generation of former communists were moldable and fired up to train and push the fight. They wish to lead by example and push the men of their commands to do better and seek higher excellence. The old guys in this case simply would not change and needed to be put out to pasture.
The attitude of the old communists is what we are seeing in much of today’s liberal manhood, or lack of it. Ideas of living off the government is okay with them. Do the minimums no matter the price as there is no consequence or reward for seeking excellence. I am more important as an individual than the whole. Tattoos and beards vs. substance. Some beards and tattoos are legitimate, some are camouflage for insecurity.
Now look at the Hollywood freak show. They are joined at the hip with liberal America. This includes the Democratic party. Look at woke corporations like Disney who jump on board with the left’s version of what is normal. They need to be crushed at every financial turn.
Today, some teachers and parents allow crossdressers to lecture your kids and, in some cases, grandkids. Why would grown men, in women’s clothes want to talk to children unless they are pedophiles or groomers? Why would the current crop of men allow this?
Finally, it is okay to have morals and to promote a conservative path. You are not racist for your belief or homophobic, but a traditionalist. The left will persecute you anyway for not totally embracing their deviance. They are the true enemy of manhood. They wish a nation of blind followers, and to some extent, baby killers. Women, chose your men carefully. Men chose your life path carefully and don’t be a bitch.

A friend of mine shared this pic of a kaboom he had with his AR. I called him as soon as he sent it because I wanted to get the story. He said a friend of his gave him some reloaded ammo, he thinks it was an over-charged round.
When I started to dig into the details, he added that he loaded his magazine, chambered a round, pulled the trigger and kaboom. Being that he had not shot several rounds then kaboom, I suspected an obstructed bore and suggested that. He said that is highly unlikely, because it worked fine the last time he used it... during training... with Simunition rounds. Well, there ya go.
I suggested he add the safety protocol of punching the bores when they come off of sim scenarios as the sim rounds often leave the projectile stuck in the chamber, even if you don't fire them, just by chambering them.
Just sharing because I appreciate the attention to detail, especially in the instructor safety protocols, at CSAT.
CLASS UPDATES:
The Fall schedule has been a challenge. Law Enforcement classes are making a comeback along with School Guardian classes. I am going to change the Rifle/Pistol AIT until the January timeframe so we have adequate low light (darkness) to perform the drills. I am also waiting to see how the time change is implemented.
