GENERAL:
GOING GREEN
In the future, students need to bring a Thumb Drive of 64G or larger to class to download the class information. Instead of wasting money/time, and resources on DVDs and cases, I will have a multi-port USB attached to the classroom or shop computer that allows students to transfer to their USB quickly.
THE CSAT WAY ON FACEBOOK AND PATREON
We continue developing new video content for the Patreon Operator and Patreon Instructor. As of 1 Jan 2022, we had 170 videos on the site.
We wanted to stock the pond, so to speak, for the first year. We will slow down a bit in adding content as some videos will take more time and resources to develop. One will be a well-rounded gym workout series targeting strength and endurance without injury.
I want to add more instructor content requiring extra live bodies to work with in shooting those videos. I look forward to the challenges.
You can visit “The CSAT Way” on FaceBook for video updates.
OUR COUNTRY
Any situationally aware American can look around and see all the potential in our country, yet can see it overwhelmed by all the corruption:
Reckless Spending
No coherent Foreign Policy
Immigration
Rise of Crime
Child Grooming/Drag Shows in schools
Education indoctrination
Hunter’s Laptop
Epstein
COVID
The GOP Red Wave was all hype and more like a fart in a mud puddle. The GOP is lazy and failed to prepare for the elections in many states. While everyone is shouting Trump or DeSantis, what is the local GOP doing to ensure election security?
DeSantis prepped Florida for two years to ensure smooth and clean voting. You can see states like Arizona that did not. Now you can see the work to be done in 2024. State GOPs must work within their boundaries, cleaning up their own houses.
The scary part is that we have a large population of ignorant Americans who voted for the same path we are on. Liberals are hijacking our education system, and at no time in their life have these teachers been in the private sector. Now want to lecture kids on the evils of capitalism while in a nice and warm classroom and getting a steady paycheck. Qualification standards for our teachers and professors should require military service or at least two years in the private sector, learning about Civics and private industry firsthand.
Straight-line academics are a danger to society as they only know what was poured into their heads by a professor with an agenda. Further, Deans, Regents, and College Presidents are too wussified to stand for anything conservative and piss down their own legs when anybody stands up to them. It is sad.
As for foreign policy, it seems Ukraine is simply a money laundry extension of the Democratic party. The signs are there, and people need to go to jail.
Reference the American People; many have become lazy and unchallenged and don’t have the stamina to stay the course. One need only look at Pennsylvania and the stroke victim they elected governor. Liberal socialists and communists dream of change, but neither has been to a country controlled by those systems.
The above saying applies to family, leadership, and politics. This generation of Americans needs to push harder and further as an example to the generation watching us. One generation going slack can make it hard for everyone, young and old.
OUR STATE
Arrogance and Ignorance, a deadly combination
DPS Director Steve McCraw wants 1.2 Billion (yes, with a B) for a full-time academy and state-of-the-art Active Shooter training facility.
Wow. Where to begin?
I have worked with local DPS Troopers at ground level, and they are great guys. The problem is DPS leadership. Uvalde happened on their watch, and now they want to fix it by throwing money at a central “Puzzle Palace” to solve all the training issues and diverting blame. It is a waste.
DPS needs multiple training facilities across the state to support the Troopers in the field and, maybe, a few upgrades at their state academy. They can build, buy, rent, or lease current ranges around Texas.
The big change they need is leadership, and they need it now. Troopers in Uvalde failed because of leadership. Courage and confidence are components of leadership, and the current DPS leadership has been falling for a long time. It is reported that over 70 Troopers were on the ground at Uvalde, and in my book, they all failed. They should be fired and reapply for their jobs. Some have the valid excuse of not being trained properly. Many failed because they put their life over that of the children being killed. Those that did are not fit to wear the uniform.
I suspect DPS has the governor’s support as his security detail is likely made up of current or former troopers. In short, they have his ear.
Changing leadership costs virtually nothing. Dump the leadership failures. Pull up the meat eaters in the organization that understand positive leadership and training and start retiring outdated and irrelevant training and general orders and focus on what the individual Trooper needs to stay alive and do their job.
Further, by decentralizing training facilities and spreading them across the state, DPS can help train local agencies, many too poor, to get quality training. Otherwise, this is simply empire-building. We do not need this at our state level.
LE CORNER
I read many good discussions on The CSAT Way Patreon page. One that came up was the need to seek outside training. One viewer stated that police should not have to go outside their agency for training. Another said it is a must. Both are right.
Some agencies have excellent training programs and self-monitor and adapt. Most do not and need outside help. A squared-away agency may send one person to an outside instructor to bring back material. Then the agency’s tactical power brokers can decide what is relevant and needs changing. Sending an entire team or cadre gets expensive. Only when the training is vetted should the instructor be brought in or more people sent to training.
As I have said, the Training Sergeant position should be a stepping stone to promotion. If not, agency leadership will not know what is good and bad and will rely on meeting below-standard state averages and mandates.

Thank you, and we look forward to seeing you on the range.

Subzero's gameplay is significantly impacted by the music's rhythm, much like the original Geometry Dash. In order to dodge obstacles, players must time their geometry dash subzero leaps and movements to the rhythm of each level's unique music.
